When it matters most

Backups that are proven to restore, not just assumed to.

08 / Backup and Disaster Recovery

Ransomware now looks for backups first. If your backup drive is plugged into the same network with the same admin password, it is likely to be encrypted along with everything else.

We build layered backup on the 3-2-1 principle, with an immutable copy that cannot be changed or deleted, then test restores on a schedule so you know exactly how long recovery takes.

What we deliver

01

Synology NAS

Synology devices set up for file storage, Active Backup for Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, and PC and server backup.

02

Immutable snapshots

Write once snapshots that ransomware and stolen admin accounts cannot remove.

03

Off site and cloud copies

Encrypted copies to a second site or cloud storage so a fire or theft is not the end of your data.

04

Restore testing

Scheduled test restores with a short report, so recovery times are known in advance.

What you end up with

Outcomes, not just installs.

SynologyMicrosoft 365Google WorkspaceProxmox
  1. At least one backup ransomware cannot touch
  2. Known, tested recovery times
  3. Cloud data such as email and OneDrive backed up too
  4. Clear alerts when anything fails

Questions we get asked

Microsoft 365 keeps our data. Why back it up?

Microsoft keeps the service running, but deleted or encrypted data can still be lost once retention runs out. A separate backup of mailboxes, OneDrive and SharePoint means you can restore it on your terms.

What is an immutable backup?

A copy that cannot be changed or deleted for a set period, even with an admin password. Ransomware and stolen admin accounts cannot remove it.

How do we know our backups work?

We test restores on a schedule and give you a short report, so you know your recovery times in advance rather than finding out during an incident.
